Overview

Associate Director (University Counseling Center) at Morgan State University. The Associate Director reports directly to the Director of the University Counseling Center and is responsible for direct management of all clinical and administrative duties in the Director’s absence. The role provides psychological services to students, including clinical training, outreach, and other modalities, and includes individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and coordinating assessments of services offered in the University Counseling Center. The position collaborates with the Director to establish and assess treatment and leads collaborative efforts to ensure efficient operation and co-curricular divisional learning. Responsibilities

Provide psychological services to students, including crisis intervention, assessment, counseling, and treatment. Maintain a clinical caseload of individual and group clients; deliver crisis intervention and management with assessment. Schedule and participate in on-call crisis response; maintain internal and external networks of consultation and referrals to enhance services. Provide leadership and management for the University Counseling Center, including policy and program development. Oversee coordination of center activities and resources, including strategic planning, campus outreach, and evaluation. Lead recruitment, hiring, training, and supervision of staff; conduct employee evaluations and performance reviews. Ensure confidentiality and proper documentation of student records. Prepare ad-hoc and budgeting reports; participate in university committees; educate the university community on mental health topics; establish and maintain co-curricular divisional learning for the center. Serve as a member of the CARE Team and Threat Assessment Team. Perform all duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications

Educational

Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or a related mental health field from an accredited college or university. Experience

Must hold a current Maryland license—or hold a license from another jurisdiction and be eligible for Maryland licensure as a Mental Health Practitioner (including obtaining CEUs via instructional workshops, webinars, and online courses). Minimum of five years of pertinent experience managing multi-disciplinary clinicians and clinical services. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
