Division Chief of Child Neurology The Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Department of Neurology is recruiting an academically accomplished and strategic leader to serve as Division Chief of Child Neurology. This Division Chief position is a senior-level faculty role responsible for driving the continued growth and advancement of child neurology programs at VCU and in the surrounding communities across all missions. The Division Chief will lead clinical and research partnerships in collaboration with other institutional stakeholders and will support excellence in the division’s teaching responsibilities at the undergraduate and graduate medical education levels. Responsibilities

Lead clinical and research partnerships in collaboration with other institutional stakeholders. Drive growth and advancement of child neurology programs at VCU and in surrounding communities. Support teaching excellence across undergraduate and graduate medical education for the division (ACGME-accredited Child Neurology Residency). Manage significant administrative responsibilities to support a growing division. Qualifications

Nationally recognized leader in the field of child neurology. Unique clinical expertise or funding as an independent investigator is preferred. Academic appointment with the VCU School of Medicine at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor, commensurate with experience. Division Context

The Division of Child Neurology is comprehensive in scope, caring for children with epilepsy, neuromuscular disorders, headache, acute brain injury, stroke, movement disorders, and developmental delay. The division includes eleven core faculty and five advanced practice providers with ongoing recruitment for one additional faculty member. The primary outpatient location is at the Children\'s Pavilion of the Children’s Hospital of Richmond (ChoR) in downtown Richmond, with services at CHoR’s satellite clinics. The division supports inpatient consultative, pediatric LTM reading, and pediatric EMU services in downtown Richmond, and offers clinic-based EMG/NCS, pediatric neuropsychological testing, and headache procedures.
