The Space Systems business designs and builds satellites, payloads, and components used on NASA missions and the James Webb Space Telescope. The Senior Program Manager, Launch is based at Rocket Lab’s global headquarters in Long Beach, CA and leads US Government missions for Neutron, Electron, and HASTE launch vehicle programs, coordinating across functional disciplines to meet program objectives and liaising with internal and external stakeholders for mission execution, assurance, and business development. Senior Program Manager, Launch The role supports program management for launch vehicle programs, working with the Neutron and HASTE Chief Engineers to plan and execute programs, manage risks and cost, report status to senior leadership, contribute to proposals and business development, and lead cross-functional teams. Responsibilities

Serve as the program manager for Rocket Lab’s launch vehicle programs supporting US Government initiatives Collaborate with the Neutron and HASTE Chief Engineers to plan and execute programs Identify implementation issues and proactively develop recovery plans before schedule and cost impacts are realized Report project status and problems to Rocket Lab senior leadership Lead or approve inputs into proposal development and business development activities Serve as team leader and take accountability for the cost and schedule performance of the team Manage relationships with cross-functional engineering and production teams to deliver on program goals Develop and maintain professional working relationships with all program stakeholders across the company Travel domestically regularly to support programs, and internationally on occasion Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, math, or other technical discipline 8+ years of engineering experience in the aerospace industry, with direct technical experience supporting launch vehicle and/or space programs Program management experience in the aerospace industry Thorough understanding of launch vehicle and space systems, with breadth and depth across engineering disciplines Active DoD Secret clearance Nice to have

10+ years of demonstrated launch vehicle or space systems project management experience Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Proactive and systematic problem-solving abilities Formal project management qualifications (PMP, APMP, etc.) Proficiency with project and engineering management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Teamcenter) Experience managing both low-cost and high-cost space programs Experience with government customers, requirements, and government project management practices Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance Additional requirements

Ability to travel and communicate outside of work hours Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed Vision requirements relevant to the job (close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, focus) Regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, operate a computer, and communicate verbally and in writing Must be physically able to commute to buildings Occasional exposure to dust, fumes and moderate levels of noise Compensation

Level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on knowledge, education, and experience. Base salary is one component of total rewards, which may include equity and a comprehensive benefits package. Base Pay Range (CA Only): $125,000—$200,000 USD What to expect
