Overview AHMG Cardiology in Apopka is looking for a dynamic and non-invasive cardiologist to join our team at our Apopka location. This physician will help continue to grow a new market in association with our physicians and advanced practice providers. Responsibilities will include inpatient and outpatient general cardiology. The new physician would also have weekend call coverage at the Apopka and Winter Garden hospital in rotation with practice partners and other community cardiology physicians. Requirements for the position:
Board Certification in Internal Medicine with subspecialty board certification in Cardiovascular Disease. High caliber, quality focused, innovative physicians should apply. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus. The AdventHealth Heart, Lung and Vascular Institute is one of the busiest centers of its kind in the nation. We are a leading provider of cardiovascular and thoracic services among Medicare patients with national rankings that include: #1 in Cardiology volume, #1 in Vascular Surgery volume, #5 in Thoracic Surgery volume and #8 in Open Heart Surgery volume. The AH HLVI is centered in a tertiary facility known as AdventHealth Orlando within the Ginsburg Tower. This 15-story sanctuary of healing offers patients a full range of comprehensive heart and vascular care, including 12 hybrid operating rooms housing electrophysiology, vascular and invasive cardiology. Practice Description This is an employment opportunity part of AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG). AHMG is a sister organization of AdventHealth which employs over 700 physicians in nearly 70 specialties. This opportunity includes the benefits of call coverage and competitive compensation. Other benefits include occurrence-based malpractice coverage, paid leave days, CME days and allowance, 403b retirement plan, health insurance for physician and family, and relocation allowance. This aligned model and practice management experience provides the opportunity for the physicians to focus on the clinical aspects of medicine. Hospital Description The West Orange Division of AdventHealth includes AdventHealth Winter Garden, and AdventHealth Apopka. AdventHealth Winter Garden is a state-of-the-art emergency facility featuring board-certified physicians trained in the care of both adults and children. The 97,415-square-foot, three-story facility opened in February 2016 across from Winter Garden Village at Fowler Groves. Community Description Orlando is known as the City Beautiful.
