Field HSE Manager
to our team to work within the established culture and guidelines of the Company. Qualified candidates will have at least 8 years of prior working experience with construction management, general contractors, or large subcontractors. Position Title: Field HSE Manager Reports To: HSE Director Status: Exempt Location: San Francisco Bay Area Required Experience: 8+ years Salary Range: $150,000 to 180,000+ ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitors multiple job sites for safety program implementation. Assist and mentors project team members with safety responsibilities. Documents site conditions focusing on HSE items, project HSE conditions through photographs and written reports using handheld mobile devices Works as part of the HSE Department and jobsite Project Management Team to implement an effective and proactive positive HSE culture Holds specialty training, as required, and needed (e.g., respirator fit tests) Holds regular supervisor and foreman HSE training meetings Reviews jobsite HSE conditions and assists in developing plans for improvements with project leadership team and documents this information on the computer Reviews infractions and improvements with the site management personnel, documenting the progress electronically using digital photos, spreadsheets, word processing, email, and other approved processes Responds to HSE concerns brought to his/her attention Responds to HSE incidents and assists project management in conducting accident investigation and root cause analysis Responds to incidents and accidents to provide additional investigative analysis Assists in compiling the information and data for the job activity hazard analysis Ensures compliance with all federal, state and company HSE standards are followed on all jobsites Regular, timely, and predictable attendance is required for this position Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Reviews hazardous materials surveys, develops work plans, and provides associated training for work around hazardous materials Conducts and monitors required HSE trainings at jobsites and with company personnel Reviews job hazard analysis and pre-task planning documents for scopes of work performed on project(s) Assists in any HSE or risk issues identified as projects progress Review schedule and assists project teams in HSE coordination of upcoming activities EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors’ degree preferred and/or at least 8 years of construction HSE experience Knowledge of hazardous materials management in Lead, Asbestos, Silica, etc. Knowledge of demolition, seismic retrofit, and structural work Experience with large and small commercial construction project management Excellent English language verbal and written communication skills CERTIFICATION/LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
At least one certification is required in the following: Certified HSE Professional (CSP), Associated HSE Professional (ASP), Construction Health and HSE Technician (CHST), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or other HSE certifications are desirable. Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS
Intermediate level understanding and usage of MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint Ability to be extremely organized Ability to interact and communicate effectively with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and employees at all levels of the organization Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization Ability to pay close attention to details in all aspects of work functions Ability to lead implementation of programs and procedures developed by Plant Construction Co. EH&S, HSE committees, and HSE managers Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in the workplace PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT
