DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Mayo Clinic Health System Gastroenterology includes locations across Minnesota and Wisconsin serving approximately 600,000 unique patients annually. Our Gastroenterology team collaborates across six locations to provide exceptional-quality specialty care as an integrated Mayo Clinic Gastroenterology practice. Across Mayo Clinic Health System, we have performed approximately 31,000 Endoscopy procedures in 2024 and growing.
Our Southwestern Wisconsin La Crosse location has an exciting opportunity for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Gastroenterologist to join our multi-specialty practice focusing on quality, outcomes, and compassion. Mayo Clinic Health System Gastroenterology has a strong integration with the Division of Gastroenterology at Mayo Clinic-Rochester, MN, which may provide opportunity for blended clinical, consultative, research, teaching activities.
Mayo Clinic Health System emphasizes technology advancements to foster a culture of excellence and to equip staff with the latest tools. This position is located in La Crosse, Wisconsin. The selected candidate would join an established group of up to 6 Gastroenterologists and 5 Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants providing gastroenterology services in a physician-led, stable organization committed to high-quality patient care and satisfaction. We can support candidates who require visa assistance.
General Gastroenterology care is required with openness to additional areas of interest. Sub-specialty interests may include motility, hepatology, inflammatory bowel disease, and the pancreas.
The practice includes collaboration with a strong surgical, cancer, and radiology team across Mayo Clinic to support patient needs. La Crosse is a community setting with short commutes and access to larger cities such as Rochester, MN, and the Twin Cities. The La Crosse regional practice provides more than 380,000 outpatient visits with 4,400 hospital admissions from west-central Wisconsin, southeastern Minnesota, and northeastern Iowa. The facility will feature a new 96-bed hospital opened in 2024.

Gastroenterology Endoscopy and Clinic practice with a hospitalist program.
Clinic, endoscopy suite, and hospital all located in one site; Radiology (MRI, CT, fluoroscopy, nuclear medicine) with interventional radiology and on-site Infusion center.
Integrated EMR and imaging system across all locations for seamless coordination of care across GI locations.
Dedicated physician workstation in procedure locations, linked to the integration system.
Collegial relationships with Mayo Clinic gastroenterologists across Rochester, Western Wisconsin, and Southern Minnesota.
