Overview
General Manager - Home Services with relocation to California. The role reports to the President/Owner and is responsible for allocating budget resources, developing policies, coordinating business operations, managing costs, ensuring high-quality customer service, improving processes, engaging with vendors, and hiring employees.
Base pay range: $180,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr

Job Details Purpose
The General Manager is responsible for allocating budget resources, creating and maintaining policies, coordinating business operations, managing operational costs, ensuring the highest quality of customer service is maintained, improving processes, engaging with vendors and hiring employees.
Essential Job Functions
Oversees all aspects of the HVAC department including service, sales, installation, call taking, dispatching, billing and day-to-day activity.
Prepare/review GM reporting including activity trackers and forecasting and take appropriate action.
Analyze determinants of profitability and take actions to maintain goals.
Establish a dynamic business plan with detailed annual objectives including growth, revenue, bottom line, and market share with President/Owner.
Monitor financial performance and adjust operational expenses accordingly.
Monitor and manage procurement to control costs while maintaining quality.
Monitor and adjust efficiency of business relationships and procedures to meet objectives.
Top to bottom P&L responsibility – from project level to bottom line.
Overseeing daily business operations.
Develop and implement growth strategies.
Oversee training of lower-level managers and staff.
Creating and managing budgets.
Improve revenue and evaluate performance and productivity.
Analyze accounting and financial data and identify growth opportunities.
Other duties as assigned.
Work Hours This is an exempt position. Work hours to be determined based on the needs of the business. Extended hours and weekends may be required to meet business needs.
Competencies This position requires strong time management, ability to handle multiple tasks, calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and excellent leadership to enhance team productivity and customer service. Strong verbal and written communication skills and conflict resolution abilities are required.
Education and Experience This position requires 3-5 years of prior experience in the construction trade, preferably HVAC or Home Services. Prior supervisory experience with ability to coach, counsel and train employees. Knowledge of HVAC systems is a plus. Requires a high school diploma and/or equivalent. Valid driver’s license and insurability under our company policy.
Work Environment In office - standard office environment.
Physical Demands Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 20 pounds at a time.
Supervisory Responsibility Oversees and supervises all brand departments and employees.
Travel Regular travel should be expected between locations and job sites. Occasional travel to partner companies or for related training and meetings. Travel primarily during normal business hours but may be required to respond to emergencies outside of hours.
