40 Summary:

Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth, Texas, has a full-time opportunity for a BC/BE pediatric endocrinologist. This role focuses primarily on clinical care in a hospital-based setting. While involvement in clinical research and teaching is not required, ample opportunities are available, including adjunct affiliations with local medical schools (TCU and UNT). Our endocrinology team, led by Medical Director Dr. Paul Thornton, includes 13 board-certified pediatric endocrinologists, 5 advanced practice providers (4 certified pediatric nurse practitioners and 1 physician assistant), CDCES, psychologists, dieticians, and social workers. We are home to one of the world's most respected congenital hyperinsulinism centers, along with a renowned lipid clinic and a CAH comprehensive care center, among seven other multispecialty clinics. The department also benefits from three endowed chairs. Qualifications:

Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) required. American Heart Association BLS and PALS certifications. Unrestricted Texas Medical license (must be obtained prior to start date). Successful completion of an ACGME or AMA-approved residency in pediatrics.
