Overview
Phlebotomist II Float - Mill Valley, CA. Monday to Friday 7:30am-4:30pm with rotational Saturday 7:30-12:30. This position requires a state phlebotomy license. Quest Diagnostics does not accept NHA licenses in CA, WA, NV. Salary offers are based on a range of factors including skills, training, experience, education, and certifications. Eligible candidates may receive an annual performance bonus. Pay range: $26.35 - $30.61 per hour. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is available for external applicants. Responsibilities
Territory assignment to perform phlebotomy duties within a Patient Service Center, doctor’s office, or other locations as needed Draw quality blood samples and prepare specimens for lab testing Collect specimens according to established procedures (including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams) Enter billing information and collect payment when required Coach, mentor, instruct, and serve as a resource advisor for new employees; act as on-site staff contact and provide input to the group lead or supervisor Travel to additional doctor’s offices or Patient Service Center sites as needed Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred Keyboard/data entry experience Must be able to communicate effectively in English Benefits
