Our client is a hospital currently hiring for a Clinical Medical Director to lead its veterinary team in Chicago, Illinois. This innovative practice focuses on delivering both primary and urgent care services for companion animals.

Clinical Medical Director role supervising patient care, clinical quality, team development, and operations at a multi-location veterinary practice in Chicago. Responsibilities
Serve as the lead veterinarian on the clinic floor, overseeing patient care, clinical quality, and team development. Implement protocols, drive clinical standards, mentor veterinarians and nurses, and contribute to operational strategy and clinic growth. Collaborate with the team to deliver urgent and primary care in a modern veterinary model. Qualifications
DVM or VMD with a minimum of five years of clinical experience. Leadership or mentorship experience. Background in urgent care, dentistry, or surgery is a plus. Experience launching or scaling veterinary clinics is a plus. Practice Model & Locations
The practice combines urgent and primary care in a modern veterinary model, with locations in Logan Square, Roscoe Village, Clybourn (Lincoln Park), and a forthcoming site in Forest Park. Facilities support a diverse caseload and emphasize innovation, clinical excellence, and patient-first care. The culture supports strategic thinking, medical autonomy, and professional growth. Base pay range:
$145,000 – $200,000
