Physician - Sleep Medicine VA Boston Healthcare System Boston MA 02130 The VA Boston Healthcare System seeks a board-certified full-time sleep medicine physician to join a staff of two sleep physicians and one physician assistant providing care for a diverse veteran population at four Boston area locations. The program includes a 4-bed sleep laboratory, active Home Sleep Apnea Testing program, busy outpatient clinics, and integrated DME services provided by a talented staff of RPSGTs. Surgical treatment including hypoglossal nerve stimulator therapy is offered through the Otolaryngology service. Behavioral sleep medicine treatment is available through the Mental Health service.

Practice Focus

Practice exclusively Sleep Medicine or a combination of Sleep, Pulmonary, and Critical Care Medicine depending on interests. Academic appointments with Harvard Medical School and Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine are provided as part of supervision of sleep medicine fellows and other trainees. Academic research and educational interests are welcomed. There is an active basic science sleep research program at the VA Boston that includes 7 investigators with funding from the VA and NIH. Their programs at the VA offer excellent opportunity for clinician researchers to establish collaborative investigations at the preclinical level in animal models.
