RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Assistant Director of Patient Care for Medical Unit III at the New Brunswick campus. Medical Unit III is a busy 26-bed unit with telemetry and medical-surgical patients (including cardiac, sepsis, dialysis, heart failure, and respiratory failure patients). Responsibilities
Provide leadership and direction to fulfill the goals and objectives of the unit and organization. Communicate effectively with staff, optimize resources, and manage services and staffing. Assist the Director with daily operations of the unit and delegated responsibilities. Maintain approximately 50 percent patient care responsibilities. Collaboratively prepare and maintain staff schedules and payroll. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and drive staff accountability. Qualifications
Required: BSN required 3–5 years of nursing experience Experience in Med/Surg and/or Telemetry Preferred: MSN highly preferred Prior experience as a nursing director preferred Certifications and Licenses Required: BLS and ACLS certification Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License Scheduling Requirements: Day Shift, 40 hours per week Full-Time On-Call Leadership Coverage Essential Functions
