Dogs and Cats Emergency & Specialty (DCES) invites applications for a full-time Medical Director. The role provides medical leadership for the hospital, manages associate and lead veterinarians, ensures regulatory compliance for the practice of veterinary medicine, and fosters an environment of teamwork to deliver quality medicine efficiently. The Medical Director collaborates with the Hospital Leadership Team on financial performance, operating and capital budgets, and sustainable growth of the hospital. Role And Responsibilities
Provide medical leadership for the hospital; manage associate and lead veterinarians; ensure regulatory compliance; promote teamwork and high-quality patient care; partner with the Hospital Leadership Team on financial performance, budgets, and growth; model healthy medical and business practices. Qualifications And Skills
Has previous Lead Veterinarian, Medical Director, or other applicable leadership experience Values integrity, exhibits superior communication, displays excellent client service and patient care Is a collaborative leader who will match and embrace DCES’s culture Schedule
4-day work week, with a minimum of 50% of time spent on administrative duties This is a full-time position; further schedule details will be discussed during the interview process Compensation
Competitive base salary ranging from $220,000–$250,000 with a monthly production bonus; earning potential of $275k+ annually and no negative accrual Continuing education allowance of $3k annually, with an additional week of PTO for learning 3 weeks of vacation annually, with additional sick time accrual 1 additional Wellness Day Off annually Generous signing and relocation bonuses, and tiered retention bonuses over 3 years Competitive relief pay for voluntary relief shifts outside of your normal schedule Generous discounts on personal pets Benefits
