Qualifications And Skills
Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, preferably in an Emergency/Specialty hospital and at least 1-2 years of leadership experience (preferred)
Values integrity, exhibits superior communication, displays excellent client service and patient care
Collaborative leader who will match and embrace DCES’s culture
Schedule
4-day work week, with a minimum of 50% of time spent on administrative duties
Full‑time position; schedule expectations will be discussed during the interview process
Compensation
Competitive base salary ranging from $220,000 to $250,000 and monthly production bonus, with earning potential of $275k+ annually and no negative accrual
Continuing education allowance of $3k annually, plus an additional week of PTO to focus on learning
3 weeks of vacation annually, with additional sick time accrual
1 additional Wellness Day Off annually

Role And Responsibilities Dogs and Cats Emergency & Specialty (DCES), a 24‑hour multi‑specialty and emergency hospital, is looking for a full‑time Medical Director. The role involves providing medical leadership, managing associate and lead veterinarians, ensuring regulatory compliance, fostering teamwork, and delivering quality medicine sustainably and efficiently. In partnership with the Hospital Leadership Team, the Medical Director is accountable for the financial performance, preparing operating and capital budgets, and supporting the hospital’s growth through healthy business and medical practices.
