Clearance Requirements:

Tier 1 Background Investigation, Agency Check with Law and Credit Check and fingerprints (Standard Form 85)

Estimated Pay:

$41.00/hour (Negotiable)

Type of Employment:

40 hours per week

Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Radiologist Assistant (RA) to join our imaging team. The RA is an advanced practice radiologic technologist who works under the supervision of a radiologist to perform a wide range of diagnostic imaging tasks. This includes conducting patient assessments, performing advanced imaging procedures, administering contrast media, and providing preliminary image evaluations. The RA plays a critical role in improving workflow efficiency, enhancing patient care, and supporting radiologists in diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Mandatory Qualifications

Completion of an ARRT-recognized Radiologist Assistant program

Certification as a Registered Radiologist Assistant (RRA) by the ARRT

State licensure (if applicable)

BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a radiologic technologist

Strong knowledge of anatomy, pathology, imaging protocols, and radiation safety

Excellent communication, critical thinking, and patient care skills

Duties / Responsibilities

Assist radiologists in performing and managing advanced diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures

Conduct pre- and post-procedure patient assessments and obtain relevant clinical history

Perform fluoroscopic and other radiologic procedures as delegated by the supervising radiologist

Administer contrast media and radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with safety protocols

Evaluate image quality and provide preliminary observations to the supervising radiologist

Communicate findings and procedural updates to referring physicians and care teams

Educate patients about procedures, risks, and post-procedure care

Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and ALARA principles

Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)

Participate in quality assurance, equipment maintenance, and workflow improvement initiatives
