Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Neonatologist for a permanent, full-time position in a Level III NICU within a nationally recognized health system in the Baltimore/Washington region. The role offers opportunities to expand clinical expertise and contribute to top-tier neonatal care in a diverse urban/suburban/rural environment.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality, compassionate care to neonates in a Level III NICU.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Conduct comprehensive examinations of newborns to assess health status and initiate interventions.
Interpret and analyze diagnostic tests and medical data to diagnose conditions and monitor progress.
Communicate effectively with families, provide updates, and educate on their child’s condition.
Participate in rounds, case conferences, and research to stay current in neonatal care.
Train and mentor residents, fellows, and other health care professionals in neonatology.
Qualifications
Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
Completion of a Pediatric Residency and Neonatology Fellowship.
Board certified or board eligible in Neonatology.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Level III NICU.
Proven experience in neonatal resuscitation and management of critically ill neonates.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; strong teamwork abilities.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make quick, accurate decisions under pressure.
Commitment to patient-centered care and improving neonatal health outcomes.
