Psychiatrist

to support part-time at our

Mental Health Urgent Care

location in Sharon Hill, PA. Shift: 8-24 hours per week Position Type: Part-Time Location: Sharon Hill, Pennsylvania, United States Responsibilities

Psychiatric Evaluation and Diagnosis: conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations to assess the mental health needs of patients with behavioral health needs; formulate accurate diagnoses based on assessment findings and evidence-based criteria. Care Planning: collaborate with the clinical team to develop and implement treatment and crisis stabilization plans. Medication Management: prescribe appropriate psychotropic medications, monitor efficacy and side effects, adjust regimens as needed, and observe policies on prescription renewals and electronic/scripts. Collaborative Treatment Planning: work with the treatment team to develop integrated treatment plans; participate in interdisciplinary meetings; document at least one contact with the patient’s primary care provider; conduct regular case conferences. Documentation and EHR: maintain accurate clinical documentation in the BHUCC’s electronic health records system and ensure regulatory compliance. Medication Education and Informed Consent: provide information about medications, obtain informed consent, and explain risks, benefits, and alternatives to patients and families. Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement: participate in peer reviews and quality improvement activities; stay informed about current research and developments in psychiatric treatment modalities; collaborate with external mental health providers to coordinate care. Qualifications

Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school. Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry. Valid state medical license and DEA registration for prescribing controlled substances. Experience in crisis intervention, emergency psychiatry, or urgent care settings is preferred. Knowledge of evidence-based psychiatric treatments and interventions. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team. Strong communication and empathy in working with patients and their families. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and healthcare technology. Benefits
