Proton Radiation Therapist . Schedule: Monday - Friday 7-3:30/8-4:30/9-5:30 Pay Range:
$55 - $62 per hour Responsibilities: The Proton/Photon Radiation Oncology Therapist provides high-quality radiation therapy care to patients and their families in Radiation Oncology. The therapist is part of a specialized team caring for radiation oncology patients at Sibley. Implements, documents, and administers radiation therapy, monitoring clinical and psychosocial needs and responses. Provides education and psychosocial support to patients and families. Prepares and applies ionizing radiation according to the prescription and instructions of the Radiation Oncologist, under supervision. Operates Radiation Oncology equipment such as CT simulators, linear accelerators, QA dosimeters, diode systems, and related computer systems. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent is required. ARRT certification is required. BLS certification is required. Minimum of 2 years proton therapy experience is highly preferred.
