Description
The Lead Charge Nurse (AN1) is responsible for assisting with the clinical management and administrative coordination of the ICU. The position is a combination of clinical and administrative responsibilities. Coordinates multi-facility elective or urgent admissions, and transfers within the UCLA Health System, under the supervision of the UD, CNM, and Director of Patient Placement. Excellent communication skills in collaborating with referring and accepting Physicians, Executive Management, Patient and Guest Services, and hospital support systems. Develop expertise in working with the automated UCLA CareConnect EPIC EHR bed management system. Works collaboratively in the organization with management and Nursing leadership to create a systematic approach to bed management that creates a positive patient experience. Develops a working relationship with the lead staffer and assists in prospective staffing needs based on scheduled as well as anticipated needs for each service.
Salary Range: $70.41 - $102.30 hourly
Qualifications We're seeking a highly-skilled, self-motivated nursing professional with:
Current California RN license required
BSN or MSNrequired
2 years of ICU RN experience required
BLS from the American Red Cross or American Heart Associationrequired
CCRN certification preferred
Skill in implementing appropriate nursing interventions on a consistent basis
Ability to perform historical, physical, and behavioral patient assessments
Ability to develop and implement and evaluate patient care plan actively involving patients, family, and staff
Involvement in leading unit projects is preferred
