Overview
The Department of Psychiatry at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago seek a full-time non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator at the rank of Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor. This position is intended for a pediatric neuropsychologist who will join a multidisciplinary child and adolescent psychiatry department in a nationally ranked, freestanding children’s hospital located on the medical school campus. The successful applicant will work with children and adolescents followed in Lurie Children’s medical services (e.g., Cardiology, Endocrinology, Hematology/Oncology, Neurology, Neurosurgery). Responsibilities
Conduct screenings, consultations, and evidence-based neuropsychological evaluations of children and adolescents with medical, psychiatric, and neurodevelopmental disorders. Teach in multidisciplinary child health and mental health training programs. Engage in research or other scholarly activities. The position is expected to be 80% clinical and 20% research, which can be negotiated depending on grant activity and funding. Qualifications
PhD in a clinical psychology training program and completion of an APA-approved internship specializing in clinical child or pediatric psychology. Fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology and board certification or eligibility for board certification in clinical neuropsychology. Experience with other medical populations is highly desirable. Spanish fluency is required. Compensation and Status
Base pay range: $127,500.00/yr – $170,422.00/yr (base pay range noted in posting). Full-time, non-tenure-eligible position. Rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
