The Department of Psychiatry at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago are seeking a full-time non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator at the rank of Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor. This position is intended for a pediatric neuropsychologist who will join a multidisciplinary child and adolescent psychiatry department in a nationally ranked, freestanding children’s hospital located on the medical school campus.
The successful applicant will work with children and adolescents followed in Lurie Children's medical services (e.g., Cardiology, Endocrinology, Hematology/Oncology, Neurology, Neurosurgery).
Duties include:
conducting screenings, consultations, and evidence-based neuropsychological evaluations
of children and adolescents with medical, psychiatric, and neurodevelopmental disorders;
teaching in multidisciplinary child health and mental health training programs ; and
engagement in research or other scholarly activities . This position is expected to be 80% Clinical and 20% Research, which can be negotiated depending on grant activity and funding. Qualified candidates will have obtained a PhD in a clinical psychology training program and completed an APA-approved internship specializing in clinical child or pediatric psychology. The individual will also have completed a fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology and be board certified or eligible for board certification in clinical neuropsychology. Experience with other medical populations is highly desirable. Spanish fluency is required. Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience. This is a full-time position.
