Overview
A leading international manufacturer of
Graphite Parts for semiconductor industry
is seeking an Executive Officer/Director of Operations to join its growing U.S. team. This position is a critical leadership role responsible for the strategic oversight and efficient operation of the company's precision graphite manufacturing facility. Leading a team of department managers, this individual will drive continuous improvement, optimize production processes, and ensure the highest standards of quality and safety in alignment with the parent company's standards. Responsibilities
Direct and optimize all manufacturing activities, including CNC, machining, post-processing, and quality assurance. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Production Managers, Supervisors, and Machinists. Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and excellence. Monitor and manage daily key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production, including on-time delivery, cost of goods, and machine utilization. Collaborate with the President and Director of Sales to monitor revenue target and forecasts based on shop capacity and incoming orders. Liaise between department managers and other key stakeholders (HR, Sales, President) including some HQ business units and departments in Japan to facilitate communication and collaboration. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies and procedures as outlined by the company and parent company rules. Collaborate with the President to develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance operational performance and achieve company objectives. Manage and optimize resource allocation to maximize productivity and minimize costs. Oversee project management activities to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and teamwork within the organization. Coordinate response to machine and equipment problems to ensure minimal production downtime and respond to all accidents in accordance with company guidelines. Implement employee skill development training to ensure placement of the right people in the correct positions based on skills and abilities. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment ( machine shop experience strongly preferred ). Proven experience managing department managers and leading cross-functional teams. Strong understanding of CNC machining, lathe operations, and post-processing techniques. Demonstrated experience in manufacturing and operations management. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools. Preferred
Experience working with graphite. Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is nice to have. Seniorities and Employment
