The Lockheed Martin Space AI Talent Center is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join a cross-functional team of experts in research, data science, software development, physics, and mathematics. As a key member of this team, you will leverage cutting-edge AI/ML and software tools and techniques to tackle the most complex challenges in Space — all in support of our national security. This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with a diverse group of professionals, drive innovation, and contribute to the development of solutions that address critical problems in the Space domain. Responsibilities
Collaborate with a cross-functional team of researchers, data scientists, software engineers, physicists, and mathematicians to develop AI/ML-based software solutions for Space domain challenges. Apply cutting-edge AI/ML methods and software tools to address complex national security problems. Contribute to the design, development, testing, and deployment of software systems and machine learning models. Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
Demonstrated Python development experience Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) TS/SCI clearance required to start Desired Skills
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and/or tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab) Front-end development experience using JavaScript Experience with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn Experience with RF, SAR or EO image processing algorithms/techniques Experience automating the training, testing, and deployment of machine learning models Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment Security Clearance
This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: TS/SCI Other Information
