Position Summary
This position is located in the Anesthesia Department of Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation (TCRHCC) and is a full professional member of the Operating Room (OR) team providing anesthesiology services. Qualifications
Necessary Qualifications
Education:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of nursing. Completion of a Nurse Anesthetist training program sponsored or approved by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA). License/Certification:
Valid, current, full, and unrestricted license to practice as a nurse in any U.S. state, D.C., or Puerto Rico. Certification by the AANA. Maintain current certifications in BLS, PALS, ACLS, and obtain ATLS prior to trauma call. Experience:
Knowledge of professional nursing and anesthetic drugs used in complex surgery. Ability to administer anesthetics and detect reactions; manage drugs and patient recovery. Skill in preparing reports and understanding OR procedures and equipment. Other Skills and Abilities
Positive employment references demonstrating: Good interpersonal relationships, high ethical standards, dependability. Ability to coordinate anesthesia with OR team. Successful interview and background checks. Mental and Physical Effort
Must meet physical demands such as long periods of sitting, standing, lifting, and visual and auditory acuity. Capable of handling high-stress situations and working in a crowded environment. Responsibilities
Follow policies and meet attendance and quality assurance standards. Provide anesthetic management in surgical and postoperative settings. Establish rapport with patients and staff, explain procedures, and ensure safety. Administer anesthetics, monitor patients, and manage emergencies. Maintain equipment and ensure safety protocols, including PPE usage.
