Geriatric
Psychiatrist to join our dynamic outpatient behavioral health team and serve as core faculty to our recently accredited residency program. The ideal candidate is passionate about serving diverse and underserved populations and is committed to collaborative, person-centered care. You will work in a multidisciplinary team of primary care providers, therapists, and other care team members to improve mental health outcomes for adult patients. In addition to patient care, a minimum of 10% of your time will be dedicated to teaching and supervising psychiatry residents and other learners. Minimum Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Medical School
Completion of approved residency in Psychiatry
Fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry
Board certification required . Valid NYS and DEA License.
At least1year experience working ina previousmental health setting, outpatient clinic or hospital.
Ability to successfully interact and communicate with a diversified population.
Bilingual, (English/Spanish) a plus.
KeyResponsibilities: Provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and treatment planning for patients.
Collaborate with primary care and behavioral health teams using an integrated care approach.
Participate in case conferences, peer reviews, and interdisciplinary team meetings.
Teach and mentor psychiatry residents and trainees.
Document all patient care in the electronic health record (EHR) in a timely and compliant manner.
Provide consultation and support to primary care providers and behavioral health staff.
Maintain current knowledge of best practices, evidence-based treatment, and regulatory requirements.
