Henry Ford Medical Group's Department of Neurology is seeking a board-eligible/certified neurologist with fellowship training in behavioral or geriatric neurology to join our multi-disciplinary team as part of the new Henry Ford Center for Cognitive Health.

The division of Behavioral Neurology includes 3 fellowship-trained physicians in Neurology and Geriatric Psychiatry, an Advanced Practice Provider, a Social Worker, a Psychometrist, as well as nursing and administrative support. The 3-year development plan aims to add 3 clinicians and develop a robust clinical trials enterprise across the spectrum of cognitive decline, including high-risk normal individuals. Community outreach and support to underserved populations will also be a focus. Our program has 30 years of experience in managing Alzheimer's and dementia, with a UCNS-approved behavioral neurology fellowship. We treat over 800 memory patients annually, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools such as PET imaging, genetic testing, EEG, neuropsychology, and cerebrospinal fluid analysis. Henry Ford's Neuroscience Institute, with over 50 neurologists, is one of the largest in the Midwest, offering advanced therapies and a range of fellowship programs. We are active in clinical trials and research. We seek a board-certified Neurologist to lead our behavioral neurology programs, with fellowship training and a successful record in funded research. The candidate will: Assume the Paul C. Alandt Endowed Chair of Behavioral Neurology, supporting efforts to reduce dementia burden. Provide leadership to expand our clinical trials in Alzheimer's and neurodegenerative disorders. Develop our Center for Cognitive Health, focusing on early diagnosis and intervention. Engage in patient care and educational activities with students, residents, and fellows. The department has an active clinical trials unit covering stroke, movement disorders, MS, epilepsy, and neuromuscular disorders. Opportunities include population-based studies, collaboration with NIH-funded initiatives, and working with our interdisciplinary Memory Clinic team to establish the Center for Cognitive Health. The division includes 3 fellowship-trained physicians, an Advanced Practice Provider, a Social Worker, a Psychometrist, and support staff. Additional opportunities involve therapeutic development, community outreach, and collaboration with various research and clinical departments. Our department completes over 30,000 outpatient visits and 5,000 inpatient admissions annually across multiple centers. We are among the top NIH-funded neurology programs nationally, with over $47 million in recent research funding.
