Position Overview Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC), ranked the #1 hospital in New Hampshire by U.S. News and World Report, is seeking a dedicated Hospital Epidemiologist and Staff Physician to join the Section of Infectious Disease and International Health within the Department of Medicine. The role includes serving as Director of the hospital’s Infection Prevention program, providing expertise in infection prevention activities, and collaborating on research with the Value Institute, Analytics Institute, and The Dartmouth Institute. Opportunities exist for teaching at the Geisel School of Medicine and in an academic environment.
Qualifications
Fellowship training in Infectious Diseases (board certified/eligible by start date)
Experience in hospital epidemiology and infection prevention
Training in healthcare epidemiology (e.g., Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America, CDC)
Graduate-level education or public health training in epidemiologic methods
Interest in data analysis and process improvement
About the Department The Section of Infectious Disease and International Health comprises faculty, fellows, providers, nurses, researchers, and administrative staff. Services include consultations for infectious diseases, an International Travel Clinic, Infection Control, Antimicrobial Stewardship, Outpatient Parenteral Antibiotic Therapy, and a Regional HIV Program. The successful candidate will receive an academic appointment based on experience.
