Job Description - Medical Radiographer - Endoscopy Radiology Diagnostic Full-time Day Shift (2501610) Overview Medical Radiographer - Endoscopy Radiology Diagnostic Full-time Day Shift at Stony Brook Medicine. TH Medical Radiographer III role provides administrative and executive support and interfaces with management. Produces diagnostic exams, positions and transfers patients, provides immobilization devices, selects appropriate technical factors on an individual patient basis, and operates equipment.Qualified candidates will demonstrate superior patient care and strong communication skills while upholding high standards of excellence. Responsibilities Provide protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards, assist physicians in administering opaque media, and delegate areas of authority for routine or special procedures. May be responsible for specific areas of instruction in the school of technology and to ancillary personnel. In the absence of the supervisor or senior technologist, may be designated as acting supervisor. Assist in performing first aid as necessary, practice sterile techniques and prevent cross-contamination. Conduct periodic quality control tests and participate in or conduct research in the required specialty. Teach radiology students or the appropriate hospital personnel established procedures and operation of equipment, in accordance with departmental guidelines and teaching objectives. Qualifications Required : New York State Department of Health Licensed in Radiology Technology. ARRT Certification. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. Preferred : 3-5 years experience in procedural area Special Notes : Resume/CV should be included with the online application. Specific offer based on validated experience. Some positions may include additional compensation such as location pay, shift differential, or geographic pay.
