The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center seek an interventional cardiology/structural heart physician to join the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the Ohio State Heart and Vascular Memorial Health. Position Overview The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible interventional cardiologist with or without structural heart training to join an elite team of physicians at the assistant or associate professor rank at the Ohio State Heart and Vascular Memorial Health. The successful candidate will focus on both routine and complex coronary artery disease, including inpatient and outpatient consultative services, with a primary focus at the Memorial Health location and opportunity to practice complex coronary and structural cases at the Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital. The Ohio State University Division of Cardiovascular Medicine is setting new standards for advanced heart and vascular care through our internationally and nationally recognized experts, including more than 60 cardiology and vascular medicine specialists. Our mission is to provide these same services across communities throughout Ohio. We offer heart and vascular patients some of the most exciting and innovative technologies, treatments, and clinical trials, many of which are only available at Ohio State. The majority of our faculty are principal investigators on a variety of research projects in both basic, translational, and clinical research settings. Responsibilities
Provide care for routine and complex coronary artery disease with inpatient and outpatient consultative services. Engage in clinical and potential structural heart procedures at Memorial Health and the Ross Heart Hospital. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver advanced heart and vascular care and participate in clinical trials as appropriate. Qualifications
Board Eligible/Certified Successful completion of a US-accredited cardiology fellowship Eligible for an Ohio License Clinical and extramurally funded research is desirable Qualify for an academic appointment at The Ohio State University; academic rank and salary commensurate with training and experience The Division and Institution
The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine comprises over 60 cardiologists with focus areas including general cardiology, interventional, electrophysiology, adult congenital heart disease, heart failure, heart transplantation, mechanical circulatory support, pulmonary vascular disease, women’s cardiovascular disease, cardiac MRI/CT, and cardio-oncology. The division is affiliated with the Ross Heart Hospital. There are six fellowship programs: core cardiovascular medicine, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, heart failure and cardiac transplant, adult congenital heart disease, and cardiovascular diagnostic imaging. The division serves over 12 counties in Ohio and Kentucky.
