Dermatology Technologist

to join our team! The Dermatology Technologist assists in delivering healthcare to patients, including maintaining clinical records, documentation, surgical procedures, cosmetic procedures, and direct patient care. The Technologist is responsible for planning and organizing supplies, instruments, and equipment for outpatient dermatologic surgical and cosmetic procedures. Promotes education of self, peers, and students. Collaborates with all team members to ensure the safe and efficient passage of a patient through surgical procedures. Prepares a wide variety of patient care activities and coordinates services for medical staff. HOURS:

Part-time or .9 FTE, 72 hours every two weeks. Day shift. Experience/Qualifications: Knowledge of surgical and/or patient care standards and practices, normally acquired through graduation from a surgical technologist program, accredited MA program, or LPN program, with three or more years of related medical background/experience. Knowledge of surgical standards and practices acquired through intensive on-the-job training and/or one or more years of related experience in the operating room. Current Medical Assistant Certification or Registration, Current LPN license, or Current Surgical Technologist certification required. Current BLS certification or obtained within 60 days of hire. All clinical personnel in identified job codes are required to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) training through independent study, manikin, and knowledge testing. Acceptable CPR training includes the BLS Healthcare Provider course from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED. Aspirus Wausau Hospital
