Minimum 5 years of Oncology Nursing Experience
Ambulatory/Outpatient Clinic experience
Phone triage and palliative care experience
Knowledge of End of Life Option Act
Willingness to float to other UCSF facilities
Experience using Epic (EMR)
Previous travel experience required

Prior Charge RN experience
Experience in:
Teaching hospitals

LTAC (Long-Term Acute Care)
Trauma Level I/II centers
Key Skills & Clinical Expertise Oncology & Chemotherapy
Chemotherapy administration: IV push, oral, continuous infusion
Handling and disposal of cytotoxic agents
Monitoring chemo response and lab values
Biotherapy & Immunotherapy (e.g., Interleukins, Interferons)
Bone marrow transplant care
Recognize and manage oncologic emergencies: TLS, Sepsis, Spinal cord compression, etc.
Infusion Therapy
Accessing ports, PICC lines, central line care
IV insertion, hydration, multivitamins
Infusion pump management
Blood/blood product administration
Triage & Symptom Management
Telephone triage and symptom documentation
Advanced care planning & hospice discussions
Support for nausea, neuropathy, mucositis, altered mental status, edema
Psychosocial & End-of-Life Care
Patient and family education/support
Withholding or withdrawing treatment decisions
Hospice and palliative care
Clinical Experience with Cancer Types (Preferred)
Breast, Lung, Pancreatic, Liver, Kidney
Leukemia, Lymphoma, Myeloma
Colorectal, Ovarian, Prostate, ENT Cancers
Pediatric and Radiation Oncology
Additional Clinical Skills
Care coordination
Tracheostomy and chest tube care
Colostomy and foley catheter management
Phlebotomy, telemetry, wound care
Pain management, including PCA pump use
