We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Vascular Surgery team at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. For more than 50 years, MedStar Washington Hospital Center has provided expert care for patients with even the most complex heart and vascular conditions. U.S. NEWS & WORLD REPORT consistently ranks us among the top cardiovascular programs in the nation, and we have joined forces with Cleveland Clinic Heart & Vascular in a first-of-its-kind alliance in heart care, innovation, and research.
This role will be Coverage of vascular surgery inpatient service in-house (perform physical assessment and develop a plan of care, H&P’s, coordinate preop consults and orders, admit patients from ICUs, transfers, readmit. Discharge patients and coordinate follow ups and testing needed) as well as daily IMOC and discharge rounds. They will be the independent APP in the clinic and will do daily rounds with the attending physician.
The shifts will be 4 10’s throughout the week (Monday through Friday). Days depending on the needs. No weekends.
The ideal candidate will have background experience in Vascular surgery and new grads are welcome to apply!
Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Training
Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program or NP program.
Experience
License/Certification/Registration
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer skills preferred.
