Overview

Warehouse Quality Training Manager at Ryder System, Inc. in Lakewood, WA. Oversee site-level product quality and employee training, including conducting audits, compiling detailed reports, and supporting continuous improvement efforts. Train new associates through a certified program that includes classroom instruction and hands-on pallet repair. Contribute to meeting site productivity and quality goals by administering on-the-job training and PIT (powered industrial truck) training to all new and existing employees, including cross-training as needed. Update and maintain training documents and help create new documents for various departments and job functions. Complete HR paperwork and perform other administrative tasks as assigned. Coordinate department activities and special projects to ensure quality and timetables; coordinate staffing levels with the Group Manager Logistics. Direct staff in task development and analysis; supervise in accordance with company policies; assist in resolving complex or policy issues; conduct interviews and provide orientation and career development guidance. Manage staff scheduling, including assignments, rotations, trainings, vacations, breaks, overtime, and coverage for absences. Perform standard work audits to ensure adherence to processes. Coordinate safety activities with the Safety Manager to ensure current safety training (including OSHA and forklift training). Additional Responsibilities

Evaluate department processes and recommend changes based on analysis. Establish employee goals and conduct performance reviews. Communicate with other Supervisors and Managers. Perform other duties as assigned. Skills and Abilities

High School Diploma or GED (Required). Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain (Preferred). 1 year or more experience operating various PIT equipment (Required). 3+ years in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or related field (Preferred). 1+ year in Training/Leadership (Preferred). User-level knowledge of Windows and MS Office (Intermediate) (Required). DOT Regulated:

No Compensation and Benefits

Pay Type: Exempt / Salary paid twice per month; Annual Salary: $75,000 based on experience. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:30 AM–6:00 PM; additional hours may be required to meet business needs.
