In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing temporary medical services to our clients in Jacksonville. Your expertise will be vital in diagnosing and treating patients with rheumatic diseases, ensuring the highest level of care and service. As a Locum MD or DO in Rheumatology, you will be involved in a variety of projects focused on managing and treating conditions such as arthritis, lupus, and other autoimmune diseases. Your contributions will directly impact the well-being of patients while supporting our commitment to delivering exceptional healthcare services. Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations of patients with rheumatic diseases. Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient\'s needs. Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as blood work, imaging studies, and biopsies. Prescribe medications and therapies to manage symptoms and improve quality of life. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care effectively. Provide patient education on conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex cases and treatment plans. Requirements
Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution. Board certification or eligibility in Rheumatology. Valid state medical license to practice in Jacksonville. Demonstrated experience in diagnosing and treating various rheumatic diseases. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patient interactions. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment. Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities. Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care. Schedule: 8-hour weekday shifts Overnight and weekend beeper call required Setting: 50% inpatient, 50% outpatient Daily Volume: 10-12 outpatients, 0-2 inpatient consults EMR: Epic Must be board-certified Paid travel & expenses
