$29.50/hr - $39.40/hr Job Description
The LPN Medication Care Manager is responsible for providing the highest degree of quality care and services by administering medication and treatments in a safe, organized manner. Responsibilities include but are not limited to administration of medications, documentation of medication administration, conducting SHUs, and providing resident care while upholding Sunrise Senior Living's mission: “to champion the quality of life for all seniors” in compliance with federal, state/provincial, and local laws and Sunrise policies. Responsibilities & Qualifications
Medication Administration: provide high-quality care by administering medications and treatments safely; review and document in the electronic health record; receive medication updates from RCD or Wellness Nurse; ensure medications are passed per schedule using a mobile medication cart; document refusals or missed doses; maintain confidentiality; count narcotics with another MCM or LCM; restock carts; assist with “as needed” medications and document appropriately; promote resident independence and dignity. Resident Care: notify RCD of concerns; participate in daily Cross Over meetings; conduct Service and Health Updates; contribute to Individualized Service Plans (ISP); transcribe orders. Risk Management & Safety: ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations; use PPE and SDS; report accidents and hazards; keep pathways clear; follow infection control and waste disposal procedures; manage oxygen tanks safely. Training & Team Contribution: participate as a team member; uphold Credo and Principles of Service; engage in engagement programs; attend regular meetings and trainings; may serve as shift supervisor or supervise other MCMs; maintain required trainings. Core Competencies: sound judgment, calm under pressure, ability to manage multiple priorities, strong written and verbal communication, problem-solving ability. Experience & Qualifications: LPN/LVN or state/province licensed nurse; maintain required certifications (CPR/First Aid as applicable); Minimum 18 years old; prior experience with seniors preferred; willingness to serve and care for seniors; may require Driver job description if driving a Sunrise vehicle.
