Director, After School Program — Currier Memorial School, Danby, VT for the 2025-2026 school year. As the Director, you will drive all aspects of the Healthy Kids Program Site operation. JOB STATUS:
Part-Time, Non-Exempt SCHEDULE:
2:45 - 5:30 pm PAY:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Responsibilities
Guiding Compliance:
Ensure that staff and program adhere to state guidelines, Healthy Kids policies, and host school rules. Bringing the Fun:
Direct engaging hands-on activities based on the Healthy Kids Curriculum, covering fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, and more. Ensure homework completion. Managing Like a Boss:
Maintain attendance and registration records and ensure proper staffing levels to keep the program running smoothly. Keeping Everyone in the Loop:
Maintain open lines of communication with parents and family members through the Playground App. Team Collaboration:
Communicate effectively with your direct report to keep them informed of daily occurrences and address issues promptly. Work as a cohesive team to provide high-quality care and a positive work environment.
Education and Experience
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Must be at least eighteen years old and have a BA, BS, or Associate degree combined with one of the following: At least ten months direct work experience with school children OR Vermont On-the-Job Training certificate OR Vermont Afterschool Professional Credential OR Vermont Program Director Credential OR Vermont Teacher Licensure OR Master’s Degree in a youth-related field
Qualifications
Medical clearance: be medically fit to perform all duties and free of communicable diseases including TB. Warm, friendly, upbeat demeanor with exceptional people skills; professional, reliable, and punctual. Ability to bend, stretch, lift, carry up to 50 lbs., and perform duties to support energetic youth.
