Under the general supervision of an Accounting Administrator II, the incumbent is responsible for providing supervisory direction to a professional staff team engaged in ensuring the smooth day-to‑to‑day operations of CGI Advantage, the Department's core Accounting System, and the associated reporting tool CGI infoAdvantage. The incumbent is essential for the integrity of the financial information upon which the Department relies. This includes: investigating and resolving possible problems with Accounting processes, overseeing and coordinating daily, monthly, annual, and fiscal year‑end system processes, managing core system data tables, notifying users statewide on the status of processing, accounting periods, system availability and scheduled downtime, as well as handling CGI infoAdvantage report generation requests by internal and external staff statewide. Desirable Qualifications
Understanding current state of the art electronic data processing software systems, including Oracle based job processing, SQL language based software such as "TOAD", remote data storage configurations, input and output platforms and data universes, and subsystem interface transactions between disparate applications. Experience managing the operation of CGI Advantage software applications, including Accounting, Budgeting and Procurement applications. Ability to analyze data, and develop and evaluate alternative proposal, make effective and appropriate recommendations to executive management concerning the resolution of complex data processing issues. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, the public, state, and other governmental agencies. Ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with various internal and external partners and key stakeholders. Ability to reason logically and creatively, utilizing a variety of analytical techniques to define accounting, managerial, administrative and systems problems and determine a course of action that will bring about a resolution. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the work of others. Ability to effectively select and train employees and evaluate their job performance. Benefits
