We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Phlebotomist to join our team. This role involves traditional phlebotomy duties with a strong emphasis on customer service, processing, centrifuging, and data entry. You will primarily focus on blood draws, accounting for 70% of your time, and will utilize the LabCorp Touch system for data entry and order processing.
Responsibilities

Perform blood draws and venipuncture on patients of all ages.

Enter and process orders, including centrifuging and splitting specimens.

Engage with patients and provide high-quality customer service.

Process and ship specimens accurately and efficiently.

Maintain cleanliness and restock necessary supplies.

Confirm patient information and manage medical records.

Communicate effectively with doctor offices as needed.
Essential Skills

Proficiency in phlebotomy and venipuncture techniques.

Experience with centrifuge operations and specimen processing.

Strong data entry skills and familiarity with medical records.

Excellent customer service abilities.

Ability to draw blood from a diverse patient population.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

At least one year of active phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Experience with geriatric and pediatric patients is beneficial.

CPT and BLS certifications are preferred.

Experience in a hospital setting or with externships is advantageous.

Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment
The position is based in a patient service center within a laboratory and medical environment. The role requires flexibility, as coverage can change daily between the hours of 4:45 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Candidates must be open to floating between five locations, with potential travel from Manhattan Beach to Newport Beach. The training program lasts two weeks, during which part-time employees are expected to work full-time hours. Training locations are in Wildomar, Tustin, and Los Angeles, with accommodation provided if necessary.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.11 - $23.11/hr.
