Delivery Helper — Immediate Need

Immediate need for a pleasant, reliable, detail-oriented delivery helper who can provide white glove customer service.

Wages and hours: $17 an hour, dependent on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist Driver as a spotter
• Check purchase orders
• Help move items onto the truck and off the truck for all deliveries
• Help keep the truck clean in cab and box
• Carry and move heavy merchandise/boxes for delivery
• Seek out customers to understand their needs and assist in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise
• Contact customers regarding delivery or coordinate with the truck driver to call the customer
• Plan delivery activities, print loading tickets, and deliver merchandise according to schedule to ensure on-time delivery
• Match items on invoices with quantities loaded by verifying descriptions, items, and model numbers
• Ensure loads are safe, secure, and within Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
• Update delivery and route status (e.g., on-site, completed) in the system for tracking purposes
• Unload, install, and test appliances upon delivery
• Verify daily vehicle inspections and report and ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and repairs for delivery vehicles and equipment (e.g., lift gates)
• Other duties as needed

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• At least 3 months material handling experience
