Director of Professional Services
to join our team and lead the clinical development of our new hospice. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced and visionary nursing leader to help build with us, to shape our culture, processes, and standards of care. Our founders are experienced with over 21 years of home health and hospice. We have already developed a strong infrastructure, so our Director of Professional Services will be operationally supported from day one, yet will have the opportunity to refine and build the final clinical elements. The following systems are in development and will be operational prior to the first patient admission: a fully featured learning management & CE platform, a robust EMR, a triage and on-call system, and a billing & coding system. In addition, we have expert partners supporting the buildout of our compliance and QAPI programs. Develop and implement the strategic vision for the hospice department, ensuring alignment with the company's mission and values. Lead clinical updates to the Governing Board on a regular basis. Team Building & Management:
Recruit, hire, and train a team of skilled hospice professionals. Provide ongoing leadership, mentorship, and performance management to foster a culture of excellence and compassion. Operational Oversight:
Establish and maintain efficient operational workflows, policies, and procedures. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Patient Care & Quality:
Oversee all aspects of patient care, ensuring the highest standards of clinical quality and compassionate service are met. Develop and monitor quality improvement initiatives, and lead our QAPI efforts Financial & Resource Management:
Collaborate with the team to manage the budget and resources effectively, identifying opportunities for growth and operational efficiency. Community Engagement:
Act as a key ambassador for the hospice department, building relationships with local healthcare providers, community organizations, and families. Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN)
with an active, unrestricted license to practice in Colorado. Minimum of
4 years of experience as a clinical manager
or higher leadership role, in a hospice or home health setting. Minimum of 2 years as a hospice RN . Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred. Prior experience with CHAP preferred. Proven entrepreneurial mindset
with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup-like environment. You should be a self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity and eager to take on new challenges. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Deep knowledge of hospice regulations, standards of care, and best practices.
