Core Duties & Responsibilities
Properly pack product following company standards and utilizing UPS, FedEx, LTL and other relevant courier systems Verify current addresses Ship product adhering to company Quality control standards Affix barcode labels and fragile labels Work on freight estimates for sales department Check for accuracy of packing slips, instruments/parts, and computer records Document model/part numbers and description of part Protect sensitive material to prevent damage Properly pack product following company standards and utilizing UPS, FedEx, LTL and other relevant courier systems Other duties as assigned Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum 1-2 years of shipping experience “UPS On-Line” and/or “Worldship” experience and FedEx “Ship Manager” Knowledge of international shipping practices and documentation Knowledge of Microsoft based programs a plus Forklift Certified High school diploma or equivalent required Inter-relationships:
Frequent contact with the purchasing and sales department Contact with all levels of personnel within the company and with vendors Needed Attributes
Excellent organization skills Ability to multi-task and maintain stability under pressure Must be extremely detail-oriented Outstanding oral and written communication skills Dependable willingness to continually learn Dependability and follow through required Ability to follow verbal and written instructions working conditions & physical demands:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Overtime required occasionally Ability to stand for 8 hours
