We are seeking a
DevOps Engineer
to join our
Security and Electronic Systems (SES)
business unit. As part of the
SES
Strategic Business Unit, you will be involved in designing, engineering, integrating, operating, and maintaining electronic security services including intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audiovisual systems, IT systems, perimeter defense, and command and control systems for federal, local, and commercial clients across high-growth markets. Responsibilities We rely on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps practices to manage enterprise IT infrastructure supporting critical missions and functions. This role focuses on automating deployment of infrastructure, code, applications, and image management to streamline development and operations. The successful candidate will join a dynamic, multidisciplinary team responsible for designing, implementing, integrating, and supporting the enterprise IT platform, which includes secure cloud-hosted and on-premises environments. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Researching available technology options and their functional, performance, security, and interoperability characteristics; testing and evaluating technology components. Collaborating with development and operations teams to resolve issues, document processes, and improve automation practices, enhancing system reliability and scalability. Working with third-party tools to manage scripts, automate, and monitor deployment workflows. Proactively monitoring deployment health, resolving issues, and redeploying after remediation. Working with system architects and lead engineers to maintain and improve IaC architecture, including source code repositories (Git), deployment pipelines, etc. Designing, developing, and maintaining automation modules for network and systems infrastructure, data storage, messaging, and cybersecurity components. Developing and maintaining infrastructure configuration code for enterprise IT solutions. Designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines, maintaining cloud environments, and optimizing configuration management. Planning and executing capacity, updates, upgrades, and troubleshooting. Creating and maintaining detailed system documentation. Designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining data flow pipelines for application integration and data federation. Qualifications Security Clearance:
Applicants must be eligible for a
ACTIVE TS/SCI w/ Poly clearance . Key Requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related engineering discipline. Certifications: Compliance with DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher (must obtain within six months), and Microsoft Certified Professional/System Engineer is desirable. Experience: 7+ years in systems engineering, implementation, and support, with advanced knowledge of IaC and DevOps architectures, automation frameworks (e.g., Terraform, Ansible), source code management (Git), and cloud services (Azure, AWS). Strong understanding of Windows platforms, network protocols, cybersecurity, and data integration tools. Excellent time management, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
