In this role, we are looking for someone who can speak to affordable housing regulations for Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC), city-monitored low-income programs, and Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers (HCV) as we create policies and procedures for enhancing the lives of our residents. This role is responsible for managing compliance operations across our affordable housing programs. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local agency requirements while maintaining accurate records, timely reporting, and strong communication with internal teams, residents, and housing authorities. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement. This job is being posted for either an

role, depending on the qualifications of the right candidate for our team. Responsibilities: Manage affordable compliance operations for low-income housing tax credit and city monitored low-income programs Waitlist Complete all files for the Affordable Programs including Move-Ins, Annual Recertification, Interim Recertification, Gross Rent Changes, Terminations, Initial Certifications Audit and ensure income/rent limits and utility allowances are accurate on each certification Monitor portfolio compliance with state, federal, local agency requirement for affordable or tax credit programs Identify and investigate potential compliance issues, working with key stakeholders Stay up to date and informed of affordable housing requirements and suggest training and certifications as needed Manage all communications for Affordable Compliance, ensuring: Timely responses Thoughtful communication Collaborative and positive communication Ensure consistent and accurate recordkeeping and task tracking in accordance with team standards Contribute to additional duties and special projects, providing administrative and operational support as needed Additional Responsibilities for Specialist Role: Manage Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers (HCV) with appropriate housing authorities for eligible applicants and residents Identifies opportunities and areas for improvement, and offers suggestions and/or implements procedures, processes, or tools that improve efficiency and productivity Complete annual/quarterly agency audits/reports timely Update income/rent limits and Utility allowances to ensure compliance is maintained per affordable housing requirements Ensure Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher units are receiving contract rent equal to Fair Market Rent Assists the Portfolio Support Department with processing resident payments, delinquency management, collections, generating notices and managing incoming resident inquiries and disputes when applicable Skills and Qualifications: 1+ years of LIHTC experience Yardi experience preferred Ability to read and interpret tenant files, income and asset statements, resident ledgers, etc. Strong communication skills and outstanding customer service skills Self-starter who takes the initiative to bring up issues and propose resolutions Motivation to grow in this role and eagerness to learn new programs and skills in support of this growth Excellent attention to detail and high degree of accuracy Strong organizational and time management skills Demonstrate a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines Exhibit integrity, maturity, dependability, professionalism, positive attitude, and enthusiasm in the performance of duties Computer literacy includes proficiency of all Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.), as well as Adobe Acrobat Additional Skills and Qualifications - Specialist: 3+ years of LIHTC experience Certifications preferred: Tax Credit, HCCP, COS, COSV
