Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (RN) – Locum Tenens Nursing Job in Chesterfield, Missouri. Job Details

• Location: Chesterfield, Missouri 63017 (Greater St. Louis area)
• Healthcare Setting: Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF)
• Start Date: October 6, 2025
• End Date: January 5, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (locum tenens travel assignment)
• Shift: 12-hour days (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Employment Type: Locum tenens / Travel Registered Nurse
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1800-$1840

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
• BLS (CPR) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience (rehabilitation nursing or med/surg preferred)
• Ability to float to hospital units: Stroke, Comprehensive, Medically Complex, Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury
• Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) preferred
• Strong communication, flexibility, and teamwork skills
• Must wear black scrubs and agency-issued ID badge

Rehabilitation Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to adult patients recovering from strokes, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, amputations, orthopedic injuries, and complex medical conditions
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Monitor patient progress, participate in rehabilitation therapies, and support recovery activities
• Educate patients and families on rehabilitation processes, daily living skills, and ongoing care needs
• Float as needed to specialized units within the rehabilitation hospital
• Document patient care and progress using Epic EHR (Electronic Health Record)
