Key Job Details – Interventional Radiology RN

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (locum tenens contract)
• Start Date: September 15, 2025
• Location: Wausau, WI (Central Wisconsin; ideal for travel nurses seeking outdoor recreation and cultural attractions)
• Healthcare Setting: Interventional Radiology Unit (team includes 1 RN & 2 Radiology Technologists)
• Shift: Varied 8-hour day shifts, earliest start at 6:30 AM
• Hours per Week: 32 guaranteed, up to 40 hours possible
• Weekend/Holiday: Every 6th weekend; holiday rotation every other
• On-Call: 1-2 weeknights as needed; 30-minute response time required
• Float: May float to other Central Aspirus healthcare locations
  
  

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin RN license (required for all nursing jobs in Wisconsin)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (must be submitted with application)
• Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Minimum 4 years of clinical nursing experience
• Background in PACU, ICU, Emergency Department (ED), or high-volume outpatient settings preferred
• Epic electronic charting experience preferred
• Strong ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
  
  

Interventional Radiology RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing diverse interventional radiology procedures
• Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio, managing 4-6 IR cases daily
• Collaborate closely with radiology technologists and physicians to ensure safe, efficient patient care
• Respond promptly to on-call needs and float to other nursing units as required
• Accurately document patient care using Epic EMR (preferred)
• Foster a positive, patient-centered environment within the healthcare team
