Locum Tenens Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Travel Nursing Job in Columbus, Ohio

Compensation
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1940 - $1990
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (October 6, 2025 – January 5, 2026)
- Healthcare Setting: Progressive Care Unit (8 West Rhodes)
- Nursing Shifts: Rotating 12-hour shifts (Day: 7:00am–7:30pm; Night: 7:00pm–7:30am)
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Schedule: Weekdays, some weekends, rotating holidays
- On-call: Required
- Patient Ratio: 1:3
- Orientation: 36 hours
- Minimum 2 years of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nursing experience
- Active RN license (compact or Ohio state nursing license required at time of submission)
- ACLS and BCLS certifications required
- Epic charting experience required
- Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Travel nursing experience preferred
- Experience in community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II settings preferred
- Two professional references required (including one from a manager/director or formal leadership)
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
- Willingness to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity
- Provide high-quality nursing care to Progressive Care Unit patients with cardiac and diverse diagnoses
- Manage chronic ventilated and post-lung transplant patients
- Initiate and manage IVs, arterial lines, central lines, and PICC lines
- Perform telemetry monitoring and interpret dysrhythmias and ABGs
- Administer blood products, titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips, and manage insulin protocols
- Deliver wound care, tracheostomy management, and pre/post hemodialysis care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including PT, RT, pharmacy, and rapid response
- Float to other nursing units as needed within the organization
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Epic
