Volt is immediately hiring Centerless Grinder in Commerce, CA.
 
As a Centerless Grinder, you will:
  • Set up and operate centerless grinding machines to grind external cylindrical surfaces to blueprint specifications.
  • Select and mount grinding wheels and regulating wheels; dress wheels as needed.
  • Determine grinding parameters such as speeds, feed rates, and number of passes.
  • Interpret blueprints, work orders, and verbal instructions to determine part specifications.
  • Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools to ensure tolerances of ± .0005.
  • Perform first article inspections and maintain accurate production records.
  • Maintain equipment and perform routine machine maintenance.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
 
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
  • Strong math skills, including geometry and trigonometry.
  • Proficient in using precision measuring instruments.
 
Title: Centerless Grinder
Location: Commerce, CA
Duration: 3+ Months
Shift Timings: 3rd shift 9:00 pm to 5:30 am
 
Pay Range: $29.52 to $35.88/Hr. ($2.50 shift differential)
 
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
