We’re looking for a seasoned Construction Superintendent to lead field operations on public and private sector projects in the education and healthcare space. Job Title: Construction Superintendent – Education & Healthcare Projects

Location: Fairfield County, CT

Salary Range: $120,000 – $160,000

What You’ll Do:

  • Leadership & Site Management
  • Take full ownership of day-to-day site operations, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field staff to maintain project momentum.
  • Lead weekly coordination meetings and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
  • Project Execution
  • Maintain and adjust project schedules to meet milestones and deadlines.
  • Ensure all work complies with drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
  • Proactively identify and resolve field issues to avoid delays and cost overruns.
  • Client & Community Engagement
  • Represent the company professionally with school districts, hospital administrators, and local officials.
  • Manage logistics and site access in sensitive environments, including active campuses and healthcare facilities.
  • Ensure minimal disruption to ongoing operations during construction.
  • Safety & Compliance
  • Enforce site-specific safety protocols and conduct regular safety audits.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and internal safety standards.
  • Promote a culture of safety and accountability among all site personnel.
  • Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, progress photos, and field documentation.
  • Track RFIs, change orders, inspections, and punch list items.
  • Support project closeout and turnover processes.


What You Bring:

  • 7+ years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects, preferably in K–12 and healthcare sectors.
  • Strong understanding of infection control measures, phased construction, and secure site protocols.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in construction technology platforms (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project).
  • OSHA 30 certification required.
  • Degree in Construction Management or related field preferred, but not required.
