Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Project Superintendent to oversee and manage large scale heavy civil construction projects across the Orlando, Fort Myers, and Tampa areas. The selected Superintendent will be assigned to the project site closest to their location. This role is critical to ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of managing complex industrial and commercial projects, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders in fast-paced environments.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all on-site construction activities for assigned projects from mobilization to closeout.
  • Oversee subcontractors, trades, and field staff to ensure compliance with safety standards, project plans, and specifications.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to design.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to resolve issues and keep projects on track.
  • Manage budgets, monitor costs, and provide regular progress reports.
  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for clients, ensuring open communication and strong working relationships.
  • Enforce company safety policies and OSHA regulations at all times.
  • Participate in project planning, pre-construction meetings, and post-project reviews.



Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in heavy civil, industrial, or large commercial projects.
  • Proven experience managing projects exceeding $10M in value.
  • Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, scheduling, and safety protocols.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in project management software and MS Office Suite.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • Willingness to travel within Florida as needed.
