Job Summary
The IT Specialist oversees IT support and facility management across DEUTZ locations. Responsibilities include client computing, telecommunication, web, and IT systems support, working at the help desk, and liaising with the global IT organization.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
- Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and applications.
- Respond to help desk tickets and document resolutions.
- Assist in maintaining network infrastructure and manage user accounts.
- Maintain inventory of IT assets and manage procurement.
- Stay updated on technological trends and participate in cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelors degree in IT, BA, or related field.
- 5 years of experience in client computing support or related areas.
- 3 years of experience in IT facility management.
- IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA).
- Knowledge of network, hardware, and administration technology.
Preferred skills include excellent communication, project management, and proficiency with MS tools.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
The role involves office work and visits to manufacturing and warehouse environments, which may include exposure to noise, dust, and temperature extremes. Physical activities include sitting, standing, lifting, and bending daily.
Additional Information
Travel: Approximately 40% domestically and internationally.
